Proposed wayfinding system for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. The signage is inspired by collectors boxes commonly found throughout the Victorian-Era museum.
Inspiration: collector's boxes
Primary orientation signs: Free-standing sign where each segment is a box (mimicking stacked storage boxes). Each segment (except the base box) would be able to be rotated by the visitor.
Gallery name signs: pendant signs that would hang from the doorways of each gallery
Directional signs: shallow box signs affixed to walls
Facility name signs: double-sided blade signs
Museum Information Signs, left: four screens displaying updated information, right: standard flat panels
